If you are looking for a church home, this is a warm invitation for you to join the men, women, and children of the the Star Pilgram family. Membership is open to all people who wish to share in the worship of GOD and live a Christian life. You may become a member by confessing your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, by reaffirming your faith, or with a letter of transfer from the church to which you now belong. Members of other churches, who are living temporarily in town, are encouraged to become Affiliate Members. Non-members are invited to participate in the active life of the Church. Mission Statement The Star Pilgrim Baptist Church's mission is to proclaim the gospel of Christ with power, so that men and women are transformed into faithful disciples who then witness and empower others for Christ and His cause. Our Church Vision As Christians, we believe that our church must serve as a beacon light in a confused world. We have Jesus Christ as our Head and the best message which is the word of GOD. We always have a vibrant worship experience that is filled with PRAYER, PRAISE, AND DIVINE INSPIRED EXPECTANCY. Our purpose is not to leave away from worship without ministering to the masses in totality. In addition, we strive to evangelize on a regular basis by not forgetting "The Great Commission" in Matthew 28:19-20. Our witness is not confined to the four walls but we have a far greater reaching unto the homes of the sick and shut-ins, lost and those disenfranchised from an opportunity to know our risen SAVIOR whether they are members of the church or not. Our emphasis is not placed on peoples faults or social status but on their GOD-ABILITIES with no big Is' and no little Us'. We work in a cohesive manner and we demonstrate GOD's love and enjoy GOD's promises and provisions by investing in a multitude of learning opportunities of empowerment through local, state ,and national offerings that are solely based on Baptist Doctrine. When we are enlightened by a vision from HEAVEN, we can know for certain that GOD is the source of it because GOD's call is not only extraordinary enlightening, but it is also EXTRAORDINARY PERSONAL. |
